Bedroom Re-design

​"When I asked Rebecca to help me design a complete refurb for a long-neglected bedroom, I had no idea of the amazing transformation that would take place! I initially requested a design based around all my favourite Autumn colours so I was very curious when one of Rebecca's suggestions was full of teal, grey & lime green. I quickly realised that the size of the room to be redecorated didn't really lend itself to a cosy mix of russets, plums & crimsons - good shout, Rebecca! - so decided to embrace Rebecca's ideas and I'm so glad I did. The result is a fresh, vibrant space full of light and colour, restful blues & greys but with a splash of that lively lime to bring a touch of drama! I chose sky blue for the walls and grey gingham check for the bedding, instead of the mood board greens, but that's the great thing about working with Rebecca - you can pinch her ideas and add your own twist to give your space a really personal feel. Similarly I went for shutters instead of curtains. Nevertheless I absolutely loved Rebecca's lighting suggestions, the gorgeous mirror and, much to my surprise, the jute rug - which at first really didn't feel right for a bedroom floor, but it actually works and ties in so well with the other natural textures and materials around it. It's been a fascinating and extremely rewarding project from start to finish and I owe so much to Rebecca's wonderful imagination, flair and talent. Her suggestions were all great and the links to potential buying choices were especially helpful. Rebecca provides a brilliant service, worth every penny, and I'm now looking at my other bedrooms with a bit of a twinkle in my eye!​​"
